From first call to first Friday read

How working with us actually runs.

Seven steps, in order, with how long each one takes. You know what happens next before you book, and every step ends with something in writing.

  • A 10, 20 or 30 minute first call
  • One written scope before work starts
  • A written read every Friday

About a minute1 of 5

What do you want your marketing to do for you?

Pick the one that matters most right now. We start there.

The seven steps

What happens, how long it takes, and what you walk away with.

Each step says what you do, what we do, and what you have at the end of it. No step starts until the one before it is done.

  1. Step 1: Book a call

    10, 20 or 30 minutes

Pick the length that fits your question and a real open slot. Rather type? Send the form and we reply within one business day.

    You
Tell us your trade, your service area, and what is not working.
    Us
Listen, ask the questions that matter for your trade, and take notes.
    You leave with
A call on the calendar, usually within 48 hours of booking.
  2. Step 2: We name the bottleneck

    On that first call

Leads leak in one of three places: people cannot find you, they find you and do not call, or they call and the job does not close. We name the one costing you the most.

    You
Tell us roughly how leads arrive today and what a good job is worth to you.
    Us
Say plainly where the leak is and what we would do first, even when the next step is not us.
    You leave with
The bottleneck and the next step, whether or not you hire us.
  3. Step 3: One written scope

    Agreed before any work starts

John and Pablo write every scope. It names the outcome we are aiming at and the plan mix: a monthly retainer, a price per qualified lead, and a share of each closed job, sized to your trade and market.

    You
Read it, push back on anything that is off, and sign off when it reads right.
    Us
Define in writing what counts as a qualified lead and how a closed job is recorded.
    You leave with
One document with the outcome, the mix and the definitions. No setup fee.
  4. Step 4: The first sprint starts

Usually within one to two weeks of sign-off

Work runs in sprints, each with one named outcome. We read your market first, then build: the pages match the jobs people in your service area actually search for.

    You
Send brand assets and the logins on the list below. Give us 30 minutes on Friday for the demo.
    Us
Build on a staging site you can open any time, with a demo every Friday.
    You leave with
A staging link, and a Friday demo of what moved that week.
  5. Step 5: The build ships, wired

When the sprint plan says, in writing

Nothing launches without the lead form, call tracking and instant lead alerts working. Leads run through Elevi, our own platform, so you get an alert the moment a request comes in and we can see where it came from.

    You
Answer the alerts. A lead called back fast is worth more than one called back tomorrow.
    Us
Launch, watch the first leads land, and fix anything that leaks in the first days.
    You leave with
A launched site with every lead logged, scored and sent to your phone.
  6. Step 6: A written read every Friday

    Every Friday, in your inbox

What shipped, what it did to your leads, and what is next. If something is not working, it is in that note, with what we are changing about it.

    You
Read it in five minutes. Reply with questions, or tell us which leads turned into jobs.
    Us
Report leads and closed jobs, not traffic charts, and name the next week's work.
    You leave with
A written record of every week, so nobody has to remember what was promised.
  7. Step 7: Scale what works

    Ongoing

Most owners start with the site and add the next service once the first one is paying for itself. When a channel is bringing jobs, we put more behind it. When one is not, we say so and move the effort.

    You
Decide what to add, based on what the Friday reads show.
    Us
Recommend the next move with the numbers behind it, and re-scope it in writing.
    You leave with
A lead source you own that grows with the work you put into it.

Step five, for real

What “ships wired” looked like for Blue Arrow Roofing.

A family-run Kansas City roofer with no website. The site, the local pages and the lead pipeline shipped in one sprint, with alerts going to the owner's phone from the first day.

Your first 90 days

What usually happens by day 30, 60 and 90.

These come from the timelines in our service plans. Your scope lists the ones that apply to you, so you are never guessing what the next month is for.

First 30 days

Scoped, started, and reporting

  • Every plan

Discovery call, scope signed, first sprint under way.

  • Paid ads

Conversion tracking and a landing-page check in week one, campaigns built and live in week two.

  • Paid ads

Weeks three and four are for tuning, not results. That is normal, and the Friday read says so.

  • Websites

Site build on staging with a demo every Friday.

  • Site care

On an existing site: the first experiments live and a baseline read to measure them against.

By day 60

The first honest numbers

  • Paid ads

A first cost-per-lead number you can defend.

  • Social

On social, engagement quality moves first. Leads and sales follow in months three to six.

  • Every plan

About eight Friday reads on file, so you can see the trend for yourself.

Days 60 to 90

Local search starts to move

  • Local SEO

First movement in the Google map pack in most metros. National rankings take six to nine months.

  • Local SEO

Local content, a review workflow and a rank read every month, measured in calls and form fills.

  • Every plan

The next channel scoped, if the first one is paying for itself.

No dates are promised on this page. The dates that bind us are the ones in your written scope.

Want to know which steps apply to you?

Ten minutes is enough to hear where your leads leak and what the first sprint would be.

What we need from you

Six things, most of them in the first week.

Send these and the first sprint does not stall waiting on a login. Anything missing shows up in the Friday read, so you always know what is holding a step up.

The full list for your plan is in your written scope, next to the outcome and the plan mix.

  • 01

    Brand assets

Logo, colors, and real photos of your crew, trucks and finished jobs. Phone photos are fine.

  • 02

    Access, not ownership

Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics, and ad accounts if you have them. We ask for access; the accounts stay yours.

  • 03

    Your service area

The cities and neighborhoods you want work in, and the ones you would rather not drive to.

  • 04

    The competitors you lose to

Three to five names. Not the biggest in town, the ones who actually win the jobs you bid on.

  • 05

    Where jobs are tracked

Your CRM, your scheduling tool, or a spreadsheet. We need a way to see which leads became jobs.

  • 06

    Thirty minutes on Friday

For the demo during the build, and one person who answers when a lead comes in.

Questions owners ask

About how it works.

How long does the whole process take?
The first call is 10, 20 or 30 minutes, and it usually happens within 48 hours of booking. The first sprint usually starts within one to two weeks of signing off on the scope. How long the build takes depends on what is in it, and the sprint plan in your scope says so in writing before you sign.
What happens on the first call?
You tell us your trade, your area and what is not working. We tell you where leads are leaking and what we would do first. You leave with that answer whether or not you hire us.
Do I need to prepare anything for the call?
No. It helps to know roughly how many leads you get in a month and what a typical job is worth, but a best guess is fine.
When will I see my first lead?
We will not promise a date, because it depends on your market and what we build. For one example, Blue Arrow Roofing in Kansas City had its first inbound lead five hours after its site went live, with lead alerts working from day one.
What is in the Friday read?
Three things: what shipped that week, what it did to your leads, and what is next. If something is not working, it is in the note with what we are changing.
Who will I actually work with?
The five of us, based in Dallas. John and Pablo scope every engagement, and the people on your first call are the people building your site.
Can I start with one service?
Yes. Most owners start with the site and add the next service once the first one is paying for itself.
Do you work outside Dallas?
Yes. We have clients in Texas, California, Florida, Kansas City, South Carolina and Chicago. Demos happen on video, and the Friday read comes in writing.
